Absolute journey.

[Love Letter to Joe Hisaishi]

I felt this lacked an iconic central melody like all of Hisaishi's pieces. I guess I can kind of see him composing something like this, but in my opinion it doesn't really feel like his authentic style. Still good, 4.5 stars.

those made the song become more of a joke than a good song tbh but whatever I still listen to the original version (which is a lot better lmao)

I liked it, just not as much as the original.

The original really emphasized the melody, as opposed to your emphasis on the bass. Not that it's bad, i just like the original better.

I also thought the leads were quite weak. They felt very behind, like there was too much equalizer on it. Generally I think you put too much emphasis on the lows, or at least it sounds that way.

Obviously I'm not very good at producing, (check my music, it sucks) but I still have a good ear.

So basically, I think you should just emphasize the leads more by making them louder, or putting less equalizer on the highs, etc.

I think the drop needs some variation. maybe instead of:
1+ 2+ 3+ 4+ repeating during the drop, maybe
1+ 2e+a3+ 4+ could be used on the second measure of the drop.
